		<description>Oh, and I developed new respect for animal births as Missy continued birthing with 1, 2, and 3 kittens crawling around in the middle of it all, or suckling, as others continued to emerge.  In the emergence picture, I swear the first kitten began trying to suckle on the birth sac!

		<description>I know!  I looked for her reaction to ensure it didn't upset her.  She seemed oblivious, so I snapped a total of about 8 pictures.

I was as subtle as I could be, snapping quickly and without disturbing her positions while constantly petting her as she wanted me to do.  I was able to do this with another cat in 1998, and as can be common with domesticated cats, they often desire support during their birth.  And then, strays tend to bond more strongly as well to those who take them in.  Last, I had her in the tub with the curtain drawn, so I think all these helped.

We can't wait until the kittens get to the playful stage.  Now, to choose which one to keep . . .
